COVID-19 UPDATE

Shipping carriers have been experiencing major shipping delays due to the dynamic nature of the pandemic, especially for international orders. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we manage orders and get your books to you as soon as possible.

 

Domestic shipping

All domestic orders are shipped via USPS and are fully trackable. Tracking is provided in the shipping confirmation email.

 

While we do all we can to ensure packages arrive on time, delays in shipment due to conditions such as weather or postal service interruptions are beyond our control.

If your order is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit, please email us at hello@akidsco.com with your order number and we’ll help further from there.

 

International Shipping

We offer international shipping for both membership and one-time purchases, except to countries in the EU at this time. Please note that we are unable to provide free international shipping.

Prices to ship vary depending on the weight of your package and your country. All prices on our site are listed in USD.

 

International orders are fully trackable. Tracking can take up to 4-5 business days before becoming available. Orders can take 2-4 weeks for delivery once shipping notice is sent.

International Customs or Duties Costs 

Depending on the country of delivery, your shipment may be subject to customs clearance. Fees are determined by the customs agency within the destination country. Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order. 

Payment of fees is the responsibility of the customer. If your order is subject to customs clearance and needs to be picked up, a notice will be left at your door regarding your package. 

It is the responsibility of the customer to understand how this process works in your area before placing an order. More information can be obtained by contacting your local customs office.

 

Incorrect Address Updates

If your shipment is marked as delivered, but you did not receive your order, we recommend double checking both your shipping address and other secured locations in or around your property, such as a main office, front desk, or any side or back doors. Sometimes drivers leave packages in less obvious areas for security. If your order’s tracking is showing delivered, but you are still unable to locate your shipment, please contact us. 

We ask that you notify us as soon as you realize there’s a mistake in your delivery address. Please email hello@akidsco.com with your order number and updated shipping address. 

We are unable to edit, cancel, refund, or reship any orders once they have begun processing at our shipping house and shipped to an incorrect address. We recommend reaching out to your local post office to forward the shipment to your correct address.

Please note that our business hours are 8:00 AM PST - 5:00 PM PST Mondays through Fridays. If you email outside of our business hours, there is a chance your order will already have shipped by the time we are able to change your address.

We reserve the right to investigate all missing or lost packages, and receive the results of the investigation before proceeding with a resolution. Repeated claims of non-receipt can lead to the cancellation of your order.

 

Returns

Email hello@akidsco.com with your order number to begin your return process.

Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since date of delivery, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

The following items are exempt from being returned:

- Gift cards

- eBooksThere are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)

- Books with obvious signs of use

- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing part for reasons not due to our error

- Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Refunds will be issued upon the order’s arrival back to our shipping house. $5.00 USD will be deducted from your refund total. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. Returns must utilize the provided return label sent by hello@akidsco.com.

Please note that international return expenses (i.e. postage) will be at the cost of the customer. Domestic returns have a $5.00 USD fee. Email hello@akidsco.com with your order number to begin your return process.

 

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.If you are approved, then your refund will be processed. $5.00 USD will be deducted from your refund total. A credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount 5-10 business days.

 

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have yet to receive your refund, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Replacements & Exchanges

Unfortunately we do not accept exchanges, but we’re happy to replace items if they are defective or damaged.

If your order arrives damaged or misprinted in any way, please contact us at hello@akidsco.com with your order number and photos of the defects or damage to begin the replacement process.

International Returns & Exchanges

We accept international returns in the event that the customer covers the postage. Please email us at hello@akidsco.com with your order number and we’ll begin the return process from there!
