How not to fear failure but embrace it as a way to learn.

It’s not only likely kids will experience failure at some time in their lives, but it’s a 100% certainty. Grownups, it’s up to you to teach them how to embrace it. This book doesn’t paint a pretty face on failure. Instead, it rethinks what it means and shows kids how to live their lives not trying to avoid it.

Dr. Laymon Hicks (he/him) is a motivational speaker whose mission is to help young people overcome their obstacles and get back up. From troubled youth to obtaining a doctorate by the age of 29, his words are empowering, and his message is practical. He lives in Florida.

Loved it!

It is perfect for my 6.5 year old that seems to not want to do anything she thinks is hard because she doesn't want to mess up. My favorite book I've gotten from them so far!

Just what I was hoping it would be

Perfect for our 8 year old who is starting to loose confidence when he doesn’t play as well as other kids. It’s easy for him to read and understand. We will be reading this for years, great book to have in the family.

One of our favorites

If you only get a few titles from AKBA, include this one. It's great. My son and I both say to one another "failure is part of the process" now, and it helps us both. Ha!
