For Ages 5+

A book for survivors of school shootings and their families, written by someone who’s been there.

This book is by a school shooting survivor, for survivors. The author shares what has helped her find healing, but mostly provides encouragement, hope, and solidarity. This book aims to help your kid express their feelings and worries and to ask hard questions. You are not alone on this journey. You and your kid are part of a community that sees and knows your trauma. Be gentle with yourselves and know there is joy and life ahead of you still.

Crystal Woodman Miller is an author, speaker, Columbine shooting survivor, mental health advocate, and warrior of hope who encourages others in the challenges they face. She’s also the creative director of making magical memories for her 3 kids and husband and attempts to love others as she has been loved by God.

A necessary addition to A Kids Book line

I'm glad that this book exists for all those who need it (though I would prefer that the government gets their poop together and passes reforms that will prevent future school shootings).
