For Ages 5+

A resource to help approach the conversation about stillbirth with compassion, empathy, and care.

This is a book about stillbirth. Talking about death rarely feels easy, and the death of a baby is nearly unfathomable. This author shares her own journey, the truths she’s taken away from living beyond her child’s death, as well as compassion, empathy, and encouragement for kids and grownups navigating this devastating experience. You are not alone, and you are so loved.

Emily Gage Alvis (she/her) is a Memmie (a step-mom), a Mama, a lover of nature, yoga, and making arts, crafts, food, and conversation. She works as a therapist at Brooke’s Place for Grieving Young People, a nonprofit organization in Indianapolis, Indiana, which provides programming for children and families living with bereavement. She lives with her husband and their 5 kids.
