Help kids understand the complexities of systemic racism.

Systemic racism is incredibly difficult to understand—even for grownups! This book was made to help kids understand what systemic racism is and how it’s built into laws, schools, stories, and other institutions in a way that collectively makes life much harder for people of color.

Jordan Thierry (he/him) is a documentary filmmaker, activist, and storyteller. He has worked for over a decade to highlight the stories of people of color and to undo the ongoing legacy of systemic racism in the USA.

Great Book.

I teach Race, Racism and the Law. I bought this book for my 11 year old grandkids. It was straight forward and accurate. I read and discussed with my kids.

Great book

I got this because systemic racism is hard for adults to fully understand and I have a mixed family so I wanted to see how to navigate this conversation with my son. The book itself is fantastic it really breaks down the topic especially for kids. I love that the books are written by different authors. If you’re thinking about ordering from this company. Do it.

Excellent intro to a complex issue

My son and I enjoyed reading this book together. Systemic racism is such a complex concept that I wasn’t sure what to expect. The book did an excellent job breaking down the issue in a way a child can understand and giving concrete examples of the way our society maintains a system of racism. I highly recommend it.
